Founding Principles
Mahnah Club of the East Valley, a women's service organization, was founded in 1954 and took its name from the Hopi word, "Mahnah", meaning "leading women of the tribe." Since that time, Mahnah members have truly been "leading women" by providing invaluable contributions to the community. While Child Crisis Center and Save the Family Foundation are currently the primary beneficiaries of Mahnah Club, substantial dollar amounts in the form of scholarships to local high school seniors are also provided.
Recognized By The Community
Mahnah Club has long been noted for the tremendous amount of support given to many community-based charities.
The prestigious Hon Kachina Award given by KPNX-TV and the Luke's Men for outstanding volunteer efforts was presented to Mahnah Club.
The Child Crisis Center named a wing of the Center, "The Mahnah Wing" to commemorate Mahnah Club's establishment and continued support of the Center.
